CHARLES ROBINSON (BRITISH 1870-1937) THE PEACOCK signed Charles Robinson lower left; watercolour over traces of pencil on paper; 26 x 37.5cm; 10 x 14 3/4in (42 x 53cm; 16 1/2 x 20 3/4in framed) Charles Robinson, was one of the Robinson's brothers, William Heath Robinson (see lot 247) and Thomas Robinson (1869-1954), all succesful illustrators. Their father and grandfather, both called Thomas Heath Robinson were all artist illustrators from Stroud Green, Finsbury Park in North London.
