Lot description
Voyeur signed and dated 2023 (lower right) oil on canvas 24” x 18” (61 cm x 46 cm) Accompanied by a certificate signed by the artist confirming the authenticity of this lot Widely regarded as one of the most promising artists in contemporary art, Marcel Antonio is known for his post-expressionist style, characterized by mysterious, narrative-driven figurative paintings that blend both myth and reality on a single canvas. Coming from a prominent family of artists, Marcel produces dreamlike, pseudo-narrative scenes that emphasize emotional depth and psychological tension through disjointed perspectives, cryptic symbols, and solemn expressions—effectively evoking the liminal, fragmented logic of dreams.
