John Kelly (Born 1939) Scottish/American, Maritime Lithograph. Depicts two fishing trawlers trawling. Unframed. Signed in pencil bottom right. Titled in pencil bottom middle: "Ensenada Fisherman." Size: 22 x 27 in. John Kelly was born in Scotland in 1939 into a seafaring family, and emigrated to Canada as a young boy. After meeting Lynton Kisteler at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena they collaborated to produce maritime works that were acquired by the Smithsonian Institute, and he spent the next several decades traveling the world producing prints and exhibiting his own pieces. He continues to lecture and paint from his home studio in Los Angeles.
