MeditationCharcoal on paper, on the reverse of the cardboard, remains of an old exhibition sticker, signed25 x 42.5 cm, frame: 43 x 63 cmPainter and sculptor, born on November 7, 1916 in Neuchâtel. She attended the Basel School of Applied Arts and then worked in the studio of the sculptor Carl Gutknecht before beginning an apprenticeship with O. Zadkine in Paris in 1951. She undertook extensive travels to Turkey, North Africa and India. From 1953 to 1955 she lived in India and settled in Italy in 1963. (Ref.: Neuchâtel Art)
