Laurent Delvaux (1696-1778) An Exceptional Wood-Sculptured Tabernacle, Eglise du Saint-Sépulcre, Nivelles, circa 1740. Sculptured oak.Tabernacle of the High Altar of the Eglise du Sainte-Sépulcre or Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Nivelles.Made by or under the supervision of Laurent Delvaux, based on the model of the Tempietto (Rome, circa 1502). Delvaux was at least consulted on the architectural design of the tabernacle.In Nivelles Rococo style with refined ornamentation and rocaille motifs. Gesculpteerd eikenhout.Tabernakel van het Hoogaltaar van de Eglise du Sainte-Sépulcre of Heilig Grafkerk te Nivelles/Nijvel.Gemaakt door of onder supervisie van Laurent Delvaux, naar het model van de Tempietto (Rome, circa 1502). Delvaux werd minstens geraadpleegd bij het architecturaal ontwerp van het tabernakel. In Nijvelse Rococostijl met verfijnde ornamentiek en rocaille motieven.
