Raymond Ching (New Zealand, b. 1939). A pair of works, comprising the graphite study on paper, with several notes and inscriptions, initialed and dated 95, as well as the finished oil on canvas, signed and dated 95 as well. The finished example is oil on canvas, depicting 5 black swans, gliding through tranquil waters, emblematic of the artist's strongest work, with avian wildlife and an expertly executed marine subject. Purchased privately by Akron, OH collectors. The oil measures 36" x 42" (sight), 42" x 48" (framed). The study measures 30" x 41" (sight), 41" x 52" (framed).
