Oil on Board, signed and dated lower left: Wollheim / 1947-62, Framed: 48.25 x 36.75, Unframed: 47.75 x 35.5. Wollheim was a German expressionist painter who moved to American and is known for his portraits and figure paintings, such as this charming example of a cowgirl waving her hat. His work is held in several museums, including The Jewish Museum in New York and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
