Bryan Ingham, British 1936-1997 - Cascin Ruasin, 1995; oil and collage on board, tilted and dated on the reverse 'Cascin 1995', 70 x 60 cm (ARR) Provenance: with Francis Graham-Dixon, London, c.1996 (according to the label attached to the reverse of the frame); Bonhams, London, 20th Century British Art, 18th March 2009, lot 66 (unsold); Private Collection, purchased from the above Note: inspired equally by the French Cubists, Tuscan landscape and British Modernist artists of St. Ives, such as Ben Nicholson and John Wells, Bryan Ingham developed a unique visual language that reflected his deep feeling for the natural world. The artist's work is in UK public collections including the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, The Guildhall Gallery, London and the Arts Council Collection.
