BARBARELLA (1968) - Pair of Sogo Citizens Ensembles and Cape - Two Sogo citizens ensembles and a cape from Roger Vadim's sci-fi classic Barbarella. When Pygar (John Phillip Law) flew Barbarella (Jane Fonda) to the city of Sogo, citizens were seen wearing costumes and accessories similar to those included in this lot. Barbarella herself wore a cape reminiscent of the one featured here. Barbarella is a cult classic, celebrated for its distinctive production design, imaginative costuming, and campy aesthetics. The blue velvet dress is adorned with metal bells, as is the green cotton bodysuit. The dress features a costume label marked "Rubeo" in blue ink. The cloak is constructed from thin rope layered with faux leather. The plastic midriff section of the blue dress has accumulated a significant amount of dirt, indicative of age and wear.
