Grethe Jürgens 1899 Holzhausen - 1981 Hanover - "Autobahn - Wietzebrücke" - Ballpoint pen/paper (postcard). 10.5 x 14.9 cm. 13 x 18 cm (dimensions with frame). Inscribed lower left: AUTOBAHN. Inscribed lower right: WIETZE BRÜCKE. Inscribed as a postcard on the reverse. Framed under glass. Grethe Jürgens was a main representative of New Objectivity Hanover. She studied in the 1920s in Hanover in the graphics class with Burger-Mühlfeld. There she met Erich Wegner, Ernst Thoms and Gerta Overbeck.
