The artwork will be auctioned in support of the German AIDS Foundation, Bonn. For almost four decades the German AIDS Foundation has supported people living with HIV and AIDS. The Foundation’s principal aim is to ensure that they receive comprehensive medical and psychosocial care. It thus provides funding for projects both in Germany and internationally. Lempertz has been a long-standing supporter of this foundation’s work. The Foundation’s mission: to prevent HIV infections, save lives, and ensure that people with HIV and AIDS can live safely and with dignity. Worldwide the successful fight against HIV and AIDS is under pressure as major donors are withdrawing. Wars—such as in Ukraine—and increasing discrimination are further worsening the situation. That is why the work of the German AIDS Foundation is more crucial now than ever before.
