Photographer's copyright stamp with address in Paris, "Schostal" agency stamp and various handwritten notations in pencil and crayon on the reverse. The avant-garde photographer Germaine Krull created major works of the "New Vision" and the modernist photo book. Her unconventional approach was also evident in the wide range of her working areas. As a press photographer, she toured through France in her own car. In a series about Mediterranean beaches, she showed by no means only glamorous or atmospheric postcard motifs, but also the bustling density of less mundane seaside resorts.
