Bryan de Grineau (British 1883-1957), 'Grand Prix de le Sarthe 1912', signed lower right and titled 'Sarthe', pastel and charcoal on paper, in the manner of Toulouse-Lautrec, race scene depicting Jules Goux in the Peugeot L-76 on his way to victory at the Coupe de la Sarthe held at the Le Mans circuit on 9th September, 71 x 100cm, mounted and glazed within gilt wooden frame with title plaque to lower edge inscribed 'Grand Prix de la Sarthe 1912 - Record Européen - 1er Goux sur Peugeot', measuring 99 x 129cm overall.
