With engraved title vignette, 1 multi-folded table, and 4 folded copperplate illustrations. Contemporary cardboard binding (scratched and bumped). - The author Johann Ludwig Christ (1739-1813) was a pastor in Kronberg im Taunus and also a pomologist and beekeeper. Title with contemporary signature, 1 copperplate with tear in the margin.- Original description in German: Christ, J.L. Handbuch über die Obstbaumzucht und Obstlehre. 2. AuflageFrankfurt a.M., Hermann, 1797. XXXVI, 900 Seiten Mit gestoch. Titelvignette., 1 mehrf. gefalt. Tabelle und 4 gefalt. Kupfertafeln.
