Duncan McClellan (American, b. 1955) "Communication" art glass large vase created utilizing Swedish overlay, sand carving and hand blown techniques, in shades of orange and amber depicting honey bees and blades of grass, signed on base. [18" H x 15" Diameter]. Overall condition is good, minor scratches to base rim, minor chip to rim. The theme for this vase was conceived from observing McClellan's bees and watching them collecting pollen in the flowers. This act caused McClellan to think about silent communication with each other and other species. Questioning if these similar entities have evolved to be about to communicate with each other why can we as humans?
