Hermann Geibel, bronze sculpture, Infant, Darmstadt, dated 1921 Hermann Geibel (1889 Freiburg im Breisgau - 1972 Darmstadt), studied from 1909 under Richard Müller and Selmar Werner at the Dresden Academy of Art, 1910-12 at the Munich Academy under Heinrich von Zügel. Fully sculpted bronze depiction of a naked boy in an awkward running pose - probably "the first steps", brown patina. Base plate signed: H. Geibel, dated 1921, on a round marble plinth. Height with plinth: approx. 45 cm, weight: approx. 8.4 kg. Very good condition, hardly any signs of use. Vollplastische Bronze-Darstellung eines nackten Knabens in unbeholfener Laufpose - wohlmöglich "die ersten Schritte", braun patiniert. Standplatte signiert: H. Geibel, datiert 1921, auf rundem Marmor-Sockel. Höhe mit Sockel: ca. 45 cm, Gewicht: ca. 8,4 kg. Sehr guter Zustand, kaum Gebrauchsspuren.
