Lot description
2005 Miguel Cabrera autographed Florida Marlins professional model road jersey from the Willie Mays Collection. Gray knit jersey with "Florida" team name across the front above number "24" having "Cabrera" name back above ,matching "24". Proper Majestic Authentic manufacturer's label affixed to tail front above strip tag with "24 52 04 341" strip tag. Interior wash tag displays correct "0062" code for professional model and Cabrera has signed the back of the jersey in silver. The jersey was presumably presented to Mays by Cabrera who not only shared a uniform number but along with Hank Aaron are the only two players in MLB history with career totals of 500 RBIs and .300 batting average. Very fine early career game jersey from one of the greatest hitters of the modern era. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions (jersey), auction LOA from JSA (signature), and certificate of provenance from the Willie Mays Collection: EX
