Lot description
Carroll Cloar (1913-1993) "Quilts" Signed Offset Lithograph. This print depicts a young African American girl sitting in a grassy yard in front of a small house with quilts sunning on clothesline. Comes with a certificate of limitation from North Light Gallery Memphis, Tennessee, signed Anne H. Stokes- President. It states this print is from plate no. I and print number 90 of a limited edition of 1000. Also comes with an information booklet, attached to verso, about the artist. Singed lower right of margin, "Carroll Cloar." Lower left margin signed, "90/1000." Visible image: 17 1/2" X 24 1/2". The frame is a 1970's style Spanish frame with canvas fabric and green molding. Frame: 31 1/4" X 37 1/4". Condition- Overall good condition with some light toning. See photos.
