Paolo de Matteis, Werkstatt o. Nachfolge 1662 Piano del Cilento - 1728 Neapel The Judgment of Paris Oil on canvas. 75.5 x 101 cm. Mounted on thin cardboard, backed with canvas. Restored. Damaged. Minor damage to frame (89 x 113.5 cm). A black and white photograph of the present painting is available in the Images Lite database of the RKD, The Hague (number 973907). Stamped "Jansen - Cologne" and the numbered "PL. NO. III/7639" on the photograph verso. A version of the painting (76 x 101 cm) that is almost identical in format and composition - along with a pendant "Bacchus and Ariadne"- was auctioned in Italy in 2015. Cf.
