Work captures a vibrant scene of New York life featuring s St. Patrick's Cathedral amidst bustling pedestrians and fluttering American flags. Signed lower left. Verso titled: "Looking North Up Fifth Avenue" and signed "New York City Guy A. Wiggins"". With later inscription from Suzanne Harris Fowler Wiggins to her daughter Susan Wiggins Sokol on April 27, 1985: "For Susie and George on their Wedding Day - April 27, 1985 - in the hope that they will come home more often". Provenance: Guy Arthur Wiggins (1920-2020), Eric Carleton Wiggins (1915–1983) and Suzanne Harris Fowler Wiggins (1921-1987), wedding gift (1985) to Susan Wiggins Sokol (1951-2018), by descent to Scott Sokol.
