(Italian, 1845-1910). Oil on canvas. Titled "Brig J.F. Merry" of Damariscotta off Gibraltar, 1878. Captain S.C. Bradley. Signed lower left by L. Renault, 1878 Leghorn. Depicts ship under sail with ships and land in the background. Sight size: 20" high x 28 3/4" wide. In a period gilt frame measuring: 24 1/2" high x 33 1/2" wide. Provenance: Estate of George Considine, Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The Taradash collection.
