Charles Félix Gir, Tänzerin im Café Portrait einer kühl wirkenden Dame mit gelbem Turban und kräftig blauem Kleid, Pastell, um 1920–30, im rechten Bereich signiert "Ch. Gir", unten links betitelt "danseuse de concert", etwas fleckig, unter Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt, Passepartoutausschnitt ca. 60 x 44 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentlich Charles Felix Girard, frz. Maler, Grafiker, Bildhauer und Karikaturist (1883 Tours bis 1941 Bordeaux), ab 1900 als Illustrator tätig, erlangt für seine Plakate in den 1920er Jahren große Bekanntheit, war verheiratet mit der Schauspielerin Jeanne Fusier-Gir, Quelle: Vollmer. Artist information: actually Charles Felix Girard, French painter, graphic artist, sculptor and caricaturist (1883 Tours - 1941 Bordeaux), active as an illustrator from 1900, achieved great fame for his posters in the 1920s, was married to the actress Jeanne Fusier-Gir, source: Vollmer.
