Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: The present work is a particularly charming example of Grandgérard's evocative nudes, which often depict lone, introspective figures in pastel-hued interiors. A similar standing nude, for example, sold at Christie's, London, on 1 February 2012, lot 81 (£1,625).
