Polychrome Glazed Ceramic Wall Crucifix Design by Charles Vos,Painted by Pierre Daems (1911-1982), Maastricht. The Netherlands, circa 1945–1955. Wall-mounted ceramic crucifix depicting Christ crucified in high relief against a stylised brown cross. Christ’s figure is modelled with expressive anatomy, a bowed head crowned with thorns, and a golden halo. The corpus is painted in naturalistic flesh tones, while the cross features wood-grain effects in shades of brown. The titulus “INRI” is inscribed on a scroll above.
