Ceramic Figure of the Madonna and Child Signed to the base “Ch. Vos.” Maastricht, The Netherlands. Devotional figure of the Madonna holding the Christ Child, modelled in a stylised yet tender manner characteristic of Vos’ early 20th-century religious works. The Virgin is depicted standing frontally with lowered gaze, while the Child sits alertly on her left arm. Executed in unglazed ceramic with rough surface texture and simplified drapery folds. The reverse is hollow-moulded. Signed in the clay at the base.
