Joachim von Sandrart, Nachfolge 1606 Frankfurt a. M. - 1688 Nürnberg Elector Maximilian I of Bavaria Inscribed upper right. Oil on canvas. 67.5 x 53 cm. Relined. Restored. Framed (79 x 65 cm). Partial copy after the full-length portrait of the Elector created by Joachim von Sandrart in 1641. The original is lost, but its appearance has been preserved through repetitions. Stamp "Privat-Eigenthum / Seiner Königlichen Hoheit des Herzogs Ludwig in Bayern / München 1890" on the canvas verso.
