Title: Philip Geiger (b. 1956), 'Making Certain It Happened'. Oil on panel. Signed win LR corner. American, late 20th/early 21st century. Geiger earned his BFA from Washington University and went on to complete his MFA at Yale University. Geiger's lustrous light, loose brushwork, and subtle color tellingly capture the nuances of mood and feeling that make up the more peaceful moments of contemporary family life. Frame: H 21-3/8 in. W 17 -3/8 in. D 1-1/2 in. Panel: H 20 in. W 16 in. Condition: Excellent condition with some craquelure.
