Hal Robinson (born Harry Robinson, October 20, 1867 – March 18, 1933) was an English-born landscape painter who became known for his Impressionist and Tonalist depictions of rural New York and New England. Born in Leominster, England, he immigrated to the United States in 1893 and settled in New York, where he exhibited at major venues including the National Academy of Design, the Corcoran Gallery, and the Boston Art Club. Robinson's paintings are characterized by soft, atmospheric light and a muted palette, capturing tranquil scenes of rivers, forests, and seasonal landscapes. He was associated with the Old Lyme artist colony in Connecticut, a hub for American Impressionists. His works remain in demand among collectors and are held in institutions such as the Cigna Museum and the Art Collection of Philadelphia.
