Rose Cabat (1914-2015) American, Feelie Vase. Signed on underside. Simple yet elegant form, with a bulbous body and a narrow neck. Condition: Commensurate with age. Size: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 3 1/4 in. Rose Cabat was an American studio ceramicist, classified as part of the mid-century modern movement who was best known for her innovative glazes upon small porcelain pots called 'feelies' often in the shape of onions and figs, and bowls. She was the oldest known actively practicing pottery artist in the United States.
