Lot description

Cattle at the Highland Loch. Oil on canvas. Signed. Enclosed in a gilt frame. A finely composed pastoral landscape showing a trio of Highland cattle standing at the edge of a still loch, their reflections subtly captured in the water's surface. The surrounding terrain is defined by misty peaks and gently sloping hills, rendered in soft, atmospheric tones. Douglas Cameron demonstrates a keen sensitivity to light and texture, with particular attention to the character of the animals and the quiet grandeur of the Scottish landscape. Signed lower right. Presented in a giltwood frame with foliate detailing. PICTURES AND PRINTS Tuesday 27th May 2025 15:58:57
