Gilbert Davis Munger (AMERICAN / CALIFORNIA / CONNECTICUT / FRANCE, 1837 - 1903) oil painting on wooden panel board depicting a landscape scene titled "Jardin a Fontainebleau". Signed to lower right. Further written "....pris Fountainbleu" and signed to old label on verso. Mounted in a period gold gilt wooden frame. PROVENANCE: Owned by a private party in Caracas, Venezuela, since about 1950. ILLUSTRATION: "The Art Of Gilbert Munger" online catalogue by Michael. D. Schroeder. Board measures approx. 12" height x 17 3/4" width to sight.
