Armand Godard (French, 1824-1887) Art Deco bronze sculpture depicting a female dancer with arms raised, lifting a flowing skirt. The figure features a detailed face and hands carved from natural white material. The costume reflects Orientalist influence blended with Art Nouveau styling, characterized by flowing lines and ornamental detail. The dancer balances en pointe atop a multi-tiered green marble base with beveled corners and a mottled pattern. An artist-incised signature appears on the top corner of the marble base.
