Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886) 'Steamship: Deck' pen and brown ink heightened with white, an original drawing for the wood engraving 'American facts and fancies: A big steamer like this never rolls. The last sketches by the late Randolph Caldecott during his recent tour in America', published in 1886; and another from the same series, indistinctly inscribed 'Effect produced by a rough night...', with further faint inscriptions 17 x 23cm (2) Condition Report: Framed: 33.5 x 40cm Time staining and fading. Discolouration to edges. Mould to mounts and reverse of glazing. Not viewed out of frames.
