Gary R. Johnson (Born 1953) "Mountain Goat" Oil on Canvas. A painter of wildlife in landscape, Gary Johnson has entered work in the Arts for the Parks and Pastel Society of America exhibitions. He also works for conservationist causes including Defenders of Wildlife, an international wildlife/habitat preservation organization. In 2005, Gary won the Gold Medal Grand Prize in the Arts For The Parks Mini Top 100 competition. His paintings have received awards at the Phippen Museum of Western Art in 1999, 2000, and 2001, as well as a number of the top wildlife and western art shows in the nation, including Nature Works, the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, the Waterfowl Festival, and the Safari Club International show.
