JIMÉNEZ, Juan Ramón.- "PLATERO Y YO" B.: Ed. Gustavo Gili, Ediciones La Cometa, 1947. Folio, full leather with gilt border on the surfaces; gilt thread on edges and counter-edges. Silk endpapers and case with a pouch. Envelope signed "Brugalla - 1951". Illustrated with lithographs by José Mompou. I include an autograph poem signed by Adriano del Valle. Limited and numbered print run; copy number 1, on pearlescent Japan paper containing: ten original drawings, four of them unpublished; a lithographed series of the illustrations and an unpublished plate signed by the artist; a series of two plates with color breakdowns; a series of the 105 colors that make up the illustration of the work and a series of the test proofs of the illustrations. The series are in a separate volume, with an enveloping cover matching the main volume. Attached are two photographs by Juan Ramón Jiménez, one of which bears the author's handwritten dedication to Gustavo Gili. Attached is a handwritten poem by Adriano del Valle to Gustavo Gili.
