DARIO DE REGOYOS Asturias 1857 - Barcelona 1913 Landscape. 1891 Oil on cardboard Signed Measurements 25 x 35 cm Certified by Mr. Juan San Nicolás Regoyos created this work during his trip to Asturias and Galicia in 1891. The location it represents is unknown. The work, in which he uses a spatula mainly, is from those years, as is the case with the calligraphy of his signature, which is fully incorporated into the work. Its first owner was Rodrigo Soriano (1868-1944), a great friend and admirer of Regoyos, who was a lawyer, writer, diplomat, journalist and politician who became a Senator. He wrote a great book about Regoyos, entitled "History of a rebellion." When he moved to Santiago, Chile, he took it with him. In 1973, he returned this work to Spain. This oil painting has a certificate of authenticity issued by Mr. Juan San Nicolás and will be included in the next expansion of the Catalog Raisonné, currently being prepared.
