Francisco Vadillo (Venezuelan, born 1933), original oil on canvas Latin American painting titled La Favorita (1988). This composition depicts a reclining nude with long, flowing dark hair, lounging on a plush daybed adorned with richly colored cushions. Holding a delicate beaded necklace, she exudes elegance and confidence. A diffused light source softly illuminates the background, enhancing the warmth of the scene. Vadillo 's use of color and brushwork highlights the richness of the textiles and the softness of the figure 's skin. Signed in the lower right and inscribed on the verso with the artist's name and title. Retains a certificate of authenticity on the verso.
