Bushscape: Davidson Park signed and dated 1992 (lower right) oil on canvas 16” x 20” (41 cm x 51 cm) Provenance Galleria Duemila Alfredo Roces’s Bushscape: Davidson Park is a view he was perhaps very well acquainted with. After spending years in the US for his studies, Roces moved to Australia in 1977. Davidson Park, located in Sydney, Australia, is close to where Roces and wife Irene lived. A familiar sight for the artist, one he immortalized in this 1992 piece. Roces’s landscapes are only one facet of his art. A proficient painter, he also does portraitures, abstractions, sculpture, and photography – all in a wide variety of art mediums that testify to his innate and immense talent. (Hannah Valiente)
