ARTHUR VICTOR GREGORY (1867-1957), 'Ellida - Crossing Bass Straight, December 28th 1907', 1908, watercolour and gouache, signed lower left 'A. V. Gregory/'08' 39.5 x 63cm, framed 69 x 94cm. Note: 'Ellida' was one of the first four yachts to compete in the First Ocean Race in the Southern Hemisphere 'The Rudder Cup' in 1907. Four yachts competed: 'Elllida', 'Shamrock', 'Rambler' and 'Thistle'.
