Camille Matisse, French, late 19th / early 20th century- Still life with roses and delphiniums in a vase; oil on canvas, oval, signed and inscribed 'Camille Matisse - Paris' (on the vase, lower centre), 49.5 x 62.5 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: Camille Matisse was a prolific painter of colourful floral still lifes, of which the present work is a particularly charming example. Indeed, a similar painting by Matisse sold at Roseberys on 1 December 2021 (lot 106) for £1,300.
