Charles William Wyllie, British 1853/59-1923- Entrance to Falmouth Harbour; pencil and watercolour heightened with white on card, signed, and indistinctly dated and dedicated 'To George King[?] with best wishes / Charles Wyllie / 1804[?]' (lower right), inscribed 'Entrance to Falmouth Harbour' verso, bears stamp for 'REEVES' ARTISTS' DEPOTS LTD' verso, 25.4 x 35.4 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: Charles William Wyllie came from an artistic family, as the son of the artist William Morrison Wyllie (1820-1895) and brother of the celebrated marine painter William Lionel Wyllie (1851-1931), with the present work exhibiting similarities with the output of the latter.
