William MONK (British, 1863-1937): "Downtown Manhattan from Brooklyn". Etching and aquatint on thick wove paper, circa 1915. One of only two or three New York subjects by this artist who mostly depicted the UK and Europe. A large plate for this artist who etched smaller plates usually. Signed in the plate. Also signed in crayon. Plate size: 16 7/8 x 23 3/4 inches.
