JEAN PIERRE MORANTE (France, 1882-1960). "Ballerina". Art Deco, 1920s. Bronze. Marble pedestal with chamfering. Signed. Measurements: 35 x 18,5 x 11,5 cm. Jean Pierre Morante was a French bronze sculptor author of exquisite Art Decó sculptures, mainly dancers whose naked bodies of elastic members adopt energetic gestures that procure a momentary balance. Their nudity contrasts with the typically Art Deco headdress.
