A MAGNIFICENT AND MASSIVE CARVED HUANGHUALI PAINTING TABLE, HUA AN Late 16th to early 17th century Of elegant proportions, the long rectangular top of standard mitred, mortised and tenoned frame construction, supported by five dovetailed transverse stretchers underneath, the edge of the frame gently moulding downward and inward, ending in a beaded edge, above beaded-edged apron and cloud-shaped spandrels, raised on four rectangular legs capped with metal mounts, the legs joined by pairs of similarly shaped stretchers, the wood of an attractive warm honey tone. 204.8cm (80 5/8in) long, 94.5cm (37 1/4in) wide, 81cm (31 7/8in) high
