KARL GEBHARDT (1897 - 1948) Personal physician to Himmler and president of the German Red Cross. Conducted bone and muscle experiments on prisoners at Ravensbruck. Convicted of crimes against humanity and executed. T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 2pp. 4to., [n.p. but written from the Hohenlychen Sanitorium], Feb. 8, 1938.In part: '‘…First, I will try to counsel you about your own grief.
