VALENTINE GREEN (BRITISH, 1739-1813) AFTER JOHN SINGLETON COPLEY (AMERICAN/BRITISH, 1737-1815) HISTORICAL PRINT, mezzotint engraving on laid paper, titled "A Youth Rescued From A Shark" (the original painting is titled "Watson and the Shark" by Copley), depicting a shark attacking the young Brook Watson in the harbor of Havana, Cuba; published March 31st 1779 by V. Green, London. Housed under glass in a modern frame. Circa 1779. 24 3/4" x 20 3/4" sight, 28 1/4" x 24 1/4" OA.
