Roger de Grey, British 1918–1995 - Le Tremblade; oil on canvas, signed lower right 'De G' and inscribed on the reverse , 91.5 x 127 cm (ARR) Provenance: Phillips, Modern British and Irish Paintings, Drawings and Sculptures, 23rd November 1993, lot 96; private collection Note: similar works by the artist are in important UK collections, including the Towner Eastbourne, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Tate. He exhibited with New Art Centre and Agnews.
