His accolades include four Eclipse Awards, the George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award, and his 1991 induction into the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame. Day’s nine American classic wins include the 1990 Grade 1 Preakness Stakes aboard Summer Squall for Dogwood Stables, whose silks he is depicted wearing.
