An original antique watercolor on paper by Carl August Richter (German, 1770-1848), depicting a tranquil autumn landscape. The foreground features a peaceful copse of trees surrounded by large puddles of water, while the background is framed by additional trees and botanical elements, leading to a white cottage with a chimney softly releasing smoke, adding to the serene atmosphere. The artwork is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. A gallery label affixed to the reverse provides further provenance.
