Alexander Jamieson (1873-1937) Venice from the deck of the SS 'Orford' signed and dated 'Alexander Jamieson/1931' l.l., also signed and inscribed with title verso, oil on canvas 64 x 77cm Provenance: With Martyn Gregory, London; private collection, Moor Park, Hertfordshire. Exhibited: Martyn Gregory, London, 'Modern British Painters', November 1988, catalogue 53, no. 25. Condition Report: Framed: 78 x 91cm There are slight undulations to the canvas at the bottom and in the lower corners. Appears to be in otherwise good order. A little dust trapped behind the glazing in the upper left corner. Not viewed out of frame or examined under UV light, for a full report please contact the department.
